Programming Overview
FUNdamentals Programming:
- EFRA’s FUNdamentals programming features 3 levels of play: FUN1, FUN2, and FUN3
- Programming is designed for young players (typically aged 4-9) to learn skating and ringette skills in a fun, progressive, and safe environment.
- Focus is on skill development through adapted games like cross-ice or mini-ringette (FUN1/2) and transitioning to full-ice play (FUN3), emphasizing physical literacy, teamwork, and enjoyment before competitive levels.
Learn to Compete Programming:
- EFRA’s Learn to Compete programming includes 4 age levels of development: U12, U14, U16, and U19.
- Focus is on developing confident athletes, strong teammates, and resilient young leaders.
- Across these stages, athletes gain physical literacy and athletic skills; teamwork, discipline, and leadership; confidence, resilience, and respect; and lifelong involvement in sport and community.
Adult Programming:
- EFRA is proud to support Adult ringette by providing a welcoming structure for teams to organize, play, and stay connected to the sport.
- While Adult teams are self-organized, EFRA is committed to hosting and supporting them as needed—particularly with registration processes and coordination with Ringette Ontario.
- Our goal is to make participation as seamless as possible, while fostering a positive and inclusive environment for adult athletes of all levels.
